I Remember

As a kid there was a joy to life. Afternoons spent at the lake swimming and sometimes a picnic as well. Walking in the woods with my Dad or playing in the fields with my sister. The Sunday car trips to see the sights of our state. These were good times.

Then we get older and everything seems to go into high gear and we forget about the simple joy of just being. No electronic gadgets; inflatable beach balls, a good book and your best friend the dog was the way to spend the afternoon.

Yes, I still remember and maybe I can get back there again.
