I Need a Break

"I find it helpful to revise my manuscripts at different
places. I have two tables in my office. I often switch
back and forth. Somehow, the manuscript becomes
different in a new locale. If, as I did years ago, you
write in what amounts to a closet, try revising at the
kitchen table (when nobody's around) rather than at
your desk. Or at the chair where you normally watch
television. Or on a back porch. Or at a library. The
change will give you a new perspective."
!! David Morrell, LESSONS FROM A LIFETIME OF
WRITING: A Novelist Looks at His Craft, p. 226 !!
